Digital diplomas for graduates

When you have completed your Bachelor’s, Master's or professional Master degree at the University of Copenhagen, you will receive a digital diploma in your official Danish online mailbox. From there, you can download it as a PDF and save on your computer to attach to any applications you send to potential employers and/or universities - just as if you had scanned a physical diploma.

If you have previously received your diploma in a paper format, you will not receive the same diploma again digitally.

How to share your diploma

From your mit.dk inbox, you have the opportunity to forward your certificate to a public authority with secure mail, in such a way that the recipient can see that the certificate is the original and has not been edited along the way.

  1. Log on to mit.dk and stand in your inbox. Each message in the inbox is marked with a letter in a coloured circle. Your diploma from the University of Copenhagen has the University of Copenhagen as the sender and is marked with the letter K.
  2. Click on the letter, which causes the message to be marked. The letter turns into a tick to show the mark.
  3. Click on the 'Forward' button in the pop-up at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Click 'Forward as digital mail'. The right side of the screen turns into a section where you must select the right recipient and, if relevant, attach a personal comment to the forwarded message.
  5. Click the plus sign after the word "To:". This opens a pop-up, where you must select the institution to which you want to send.
  6. Start by typing the name in the search field at the top, then press enter, and this will bring a number of search results to the list below. You can either select the institution's main mailbox or a specific sub-mailbox if you have been asked to choose one. Tick the box you choose for the mailbox.
  7. Click 'Send to Recipient'. This registers the selected mailbox as the recipient of the message and closes the pop-up.
  8. Finally, click 'Send', which will forward the message to the selected mailbox.
